One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, December 7, 2022

WE FOUND THIS WEEK VERY COLD ALL WEEK. On Thursday there was a very small skiff of snow. Friday started out again below zero, but at noon when the sun was high in the south it actually felt quite warm. It's awful to talk about the weather all the time but it is certainly on everyone's mind, it sort of determines what we do, go, or wear.

It's sad that even in this cold weather one house was reported broken into and things were stolen. I guess we always have thieves.

Thanks go out again to Velyma Broadhead for being such a nice neighbor and so thoughtful and caring.

Helen Vogel was away for health appointments -----we hope all stays well and healthy for her.

Tina Bierley Has Eagle has been hired as the new clerk for Dodson. Good luck Tina.

Keep in mind Pearl Harbor Day is coming up -------let us not forget the destruction of that day and what followed.

Polly Solberg attended the Memorial in Harlem for the planes that collided there so many years ago and the Airmen that died on that day. It is wonderful that they do this every year --weather notwithstanding.

The Whapatau Center served good hot lunches this week even though it was very cold. The girls do a good job.

We join in sending congratulations to Lynnel (Shettel) LaBrie on her birthday and to Robert and Patti Dolphay on their anniversary and all the others celebrating birthdays or anniversaries these cold days.

When you help someone up a hill, you're that much nearer the top yourself.

Have a good week------remember it's only two weeks to the shortest day-----it's supposed to start getting warmer as the days get longer.
