One Nation, Under God

Remembering the veterans in the service then and now

Dear Editor,

My Father Egil Solberg was in World War I, my brother Les and brother-in-law Bill Murdock were in uniform during the Korean Cold War in the 50's. My uncle Clarence was in uniform during World War II. Two of my aunts were "Rosie the Riveters' during WW II.

Son Jeffery was in the Peace Corps.

Son-in-law Ronnie was a paratrooper in the Army.

Granddaughters Jerilyn and Daisy were in the Army. Grandson Hector was in the National Guard.

Foster son Joe was in the Navy in 2000 when he met President Bush on his ship the USS Lincoln.

War is Hell. Nobody wins.

Now we are fighting a domestic war. Politics, immigration, red vs. blue...

Lets hope for better times.

Sincerely

Pat Murdock

Whitewater, Mont.
