One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, October 12, 2022

I have heard the Sandhill cranes as they fly over on their way south several days this week!

On Saturday the Andrew Flansaas Suicide Awareness memorial run drew a crowd of participants to the Loring area. Randy Stenvic bused the runners to the starting line 3.1 miles from Loring. The youngest participant was just 7 weeks old, Lyla Harms! Several people volunteered to sign people up and time, then some drove along beside the runners to provide water or encouragement! Pete Lumsden had his horse team and wagon to give rides afterward. The kids got their faces painted after everyone had lunch! Look elsewhere in this newspaper for a list of winners!

After the run, Cindy Clark and I went to Whitewater for the Dart tourney. We wanted to check out the silent auction. It was very busy as people kept upping the bid on many items! I “won” three items!

The Clarks have celebrated several birthdays this week, Mylee and Bryten, and Cindy’s is this week! Also, Jamboree basketball has started so the families are busy following and cheering on their teams!

I see our editor of the newspaper is back in the weight room! Congratulations Pierre, I’ve heard that the pain is worth it! I’m encouraging you to stick with it!
