One Nation, Under God
What a perfect way for fall to begin! Temps in the 70s, a little breezy, had rain showers one day, night skies are fairly clear. I’ve seen quite a few migratory birds this week. Geese, yellow rumped warblers, goldfinches, lots of hawks, a couple of eagles, bald and golden.
Cindy Clark and I went down to Slippery Ann to view the elk bugling. We saw four bulls and about fifty cows and young ones. We went in the middle of the week so not so many people. An added bonus, we got to see about 15 turkeys!
Congratulations to Jerry and Gloria Salveson on their anniversary! Pete and Carol Lumsden and Jay and Whitney Blunt attended a garden get together on Sunday!
Now I’m concerned for the friends I have in Florida with Hurricane Ian making an appearance in a day or two. Tina and Chuck Russell say they are inland so the surge should not bother them, but winds would. Cary Woodruff in Miami might miss the actual hurricane, but probably some rain and wind. Fran Compton is also in an evacuation area, and I haven’t talked to her for a few days. Praying for all in Florida, including the crews to help out!
Have a great end of September and spread the kindness!
