Snow Removal Bids School Year 2022 - 2023

The Malta Board of Trustees is accepting bids for removal of snow from all town school sidewalks and parking lots. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids based on the price of the service bid. Bids are due by 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2022. Please return to Matt Genger or Jana Moran in the Central Office at Malta High School.

The School administration will decide in each case whether or not the accumulation of snow warrants cleaning. In the past, we have set an automatic 3" removal agreement. Less than 3" should be communicated on beforehand.

The Board wishes to have three sections of the bid: 1) Sidewalks, 2) Parking Lots, and 3) Both Combined. They wish for the bids to be on an hourly basis. You must also list the equipment that you will be using for the removal. Please include the size of your equipment, width of blades, etc. Please list the three areas separately and make sure you sign your bid.

The areas to be cleaned include all sidewalks immediately adjacent to all Malta Public School facilities in the town of Malta. This includes the Wrestling Center, the Elementary School, the Head Start (old Country Home) and the Middle/High School building. Parking lots include on the west side of the Wrestling Center, the east side of the High School and the south side of the High School. The Elementary may at times ask for help with the playground area snow removal at the parking lot rates. Depending on the accumulation of snow, other areas may be requested.

Contractors selected for the bid are responsible for their own payroll, machinery and liability. Malta Public Schools will pay on a monthly basis scheduled around the regular monthly Board meetings.

Questions or comments are welcome. Please feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns at 654-1871.
