One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, August 3, 2022

Sympathy to the families of those killed in that horrible accident near Glasgow.

“Get Well” wishes to Jimmy Murdock. He and Nancy recently celebrated their anniversary with a party at the Lutheran Church. Congratulations to them.

Rick Michelson was the pastor at the Whitewater Lutheran Church a few weeks ago.

Congratulations to Joyce and Dennis Donovan on their anniversary. They had a party near Kremlin, Montana, where they live. I heard crawfish was on the menu!

Where did they get crawfish!

The P.C. Fair is approaching fast. This is the 107th year of the fair. It will go on as usual, despite the buildings being old and were destroyed by the high windstorm and rain.

The 4-H kids have worked hard preparing their animals. Others have practiced baking and or sewing, and those preparing items for open class. Good Luck to all!

There has not been a Merry-Go-Round at the fair in a long time, I miss that.

The best part of the fair is the FOOD, especially burgers and pies at the 4-H and Boy Scout booths.

I eat my way across the fairgrounds. The concert/night show is the highlight of the fair. There is nothing like hearing music, as the sun sets in the west.

Enjoy the fair!!

If you have news or stories please call me, let the phone ring, or write to me or write to the news office.

Don’t forget the library at the North 40 Café. Help yourself.

The weather has been hot here in Whitewater and Phillips County, typical for July in Montana.

The Class of 1972 will be having their 50 yr. gathering on Tuesday, Aug. 9. They will tour the school in the afternoon and have social hour at the GN in Malta starting at 5 p.m.

Pray for rain and all who are sick.

See you at the fair!

Helen A.
