One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, May 25, 2022

Sympathy to the families of those killed in recent “Hate” shootings. How terrible. We certainly need “gun control”.

Back in our area, sympathy to the family and friends of John Flansaas of Loring.

School is out in Whitewater and most of the county. However, in Canada, schools don’t get out until June.

The graduation ceremony in Whitewater was very nice, also there was only one high school grad, Hannah Hanley! She gave a nice speech, followed by speaker Chad Wisher. There were four 8th-grade graduates. They are excited about high school.

After graduation, there was a lovely “silver tea” luncheon. All was well attended with family and guests from out of town. Very nice.

Now that school is out there won’t be as much news. So please send me your news!

Many 4-Hers are already preparing cattle, sheep, dogs, horses, cats, chickens, and ducks for the fair.

Also, they are preparing and baking as practice for the fair.

If anyone has questions call the county extension office and talk to them.

Congratulations to Barb Dunbar of Whitewater on her position at the PC Hospital and Hi-Line Retirement.

Again, congratulations to all track participants. Our own Whitewater Penguins did really well.

Some from our area went to the movie “Father Stu” at the Villa Theatre. It was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.

Sally A., Julie C., Janice R., and I attended the movie and ate at DQ.

Thanks to all who gave me flowers or plants for Mother’s Day.

Hector and Danielle Murdock and four children visited with Pat Murdock. They now live in Malta.

In Whitewater and Phillips County we had a really nice rain. Overnight the grass is green, and trees are finally budding.

Bye for now,

Helen A.
