One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, May 25, 2022

I’ve seen more birds this week, mostly because I was sitting watching the trees and exercising my leg to get stronger! I saw a nuthatch, flycatchers, goldfinches, and, of course, the blackbirds, meadowlarks, and robins!

Cindy Clark offered to drive me to physical therapy until I can drive myself. So I had pt and a Doctor's appointment on Thursday. We also went to senior meals in Whitewater on Wednesday. Lynn Hill came down just so she could see me and know that I was doing good!

On Sunday I had a few visitors! First Jeanie Green came over with some things that I left in Billings! She guarded my plant very well! Thank you for going out of your way to pick these things up from Brandie! Second Carol Lumsden came over. I hadn’t seen her for almost a week! Buster gave her a very warm welcome! And then JoAnn Hammond brought me supper! It was fun to visit with each guest and then eat my roast beef supper! Thank you very much!

Lu Besel and I enjoyed a dinner in Malta on Friday with the board members of the GPDM and several Paleontologists.

The world’s largest organism is a type of aspen that clones itself to sprout new tree saplings along with the roots that are underground! It looks like a forest of individual trees many acres across, but it is just one organism. Now, these trees are dying out because the saplings are being nibbled off by deer and cattle. So there are huge areas where all the trees are the same age with no younger ones! Our world is very interesting!

Be kind!
