One Nation, Under God
We were blessed with a nice gentle rain that kind of reminded us older folks of the rains we used to get! It was only one day but it made everyone smile! Now that we know it can happen I pray that it happens again until our dams are full!
I’m thankful to be home from my surgery. I was gone for almost three weeks! My knee is doing well. It doesn’t hurt anymore, but there is a tight feeling right around the knee. I think as my swelling goes down from my exercises and walking the feeling will be dispersed. Thank you all who texted me, sent cards and flowers, and stopped in to visit the rehab hospital. You’ll have to stop in at my house now to see my beautiful new ramp, thanks, Trey! I am not allowed to drive, yet. But I’ll be working on getting my leg to make the motion I need!
What a weekend for this area! Graduation in Whitewater! Only one graduate from high school, Hannah Hanley, but four from eighth grade, Kennedy Simonson, Sommer Green, Austin Hanley, and Tyler Schefflemear. Congratulations to all!
Then the district track meet on Saturday in Glasgow! I haven’t heard the results yet, but I bet Pierre has the complete results in the sports section today!
Sympathy to the family of John Flansaas. He was a lifelong resident of northern Phillips County. His children, grandchildren, and great-grands will miss him!
The total lunar eclipse on Sunday was quite a phenomenon! It was right at sunset and easily watched since it was clear! Doesn’t happen often! This full moon is called the Flower Moon! I like that!
Have a good week! Hope it rains some more!
