MHS Choir District Music Festival Results

The Malta High School Choir had a very successful weekend at District Music Festival in Wolf Point April 22nd and 23rd. The full choir performed on Friday, and received I’s, or Superior, ratings from both adjudicators. They also did a great job on the sight reading portion of the adjudication. They performed two pieces, and were accompanied by Jenny Oxarart.

The following are the solos, duets and ensembles that performed. Those that received a I rating will be advancing on the State Music Festival held in Billings May 6th and 7th at West High School.

Those performing solos were: Draven Lageson – vocal solo received a I rating (receiving a perfect score), Kira Beck – vocal solo received a I rating (also received a perfect score), Kira Beck – piano solo received a I rating, Lavida Grotte-Dalby – vocal solo received a II rating, Kash Stiles – vocal solo received a II rating.

Those performing duets were: Draven/Elijah vocal duet received a I rating, with Draven Lageson and Elijah Hawes. Kira/Lena vocal duet received a I rating, with Kira Beck, Lena Tremblay

Ensembles that performed were: Mixed Ensemble – received a I rating, with students Kira Beck, Malin Beck, Jade Darrington, Kyle Darrington, Lela Domire, Elijah Hawes, Gracie Honey, Draven Lageson, Deion Lefdahl, Skylie Lefdahl, Mason Simanton, Kash Stiles, Lena Tremblay, Jo’Vahn Velasquez, Aubri Werk, Makiya Wilke

Swing Choir – received a I rating, with students Kira Beck, Jade Darrington, Elijah Hawes, Gracie Honey, Draven Lageson, Deion Lefdahl, Skylie Lefdahl, Kash Stiles, Lena Tremblay, Jo’Vahn Velasquez, Aubri Werk, Makiya Wilke
