One Nation, Under God
Jon passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 1:19 A.M at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Cheryl, his only TRUE LOVE, was holding him when he passed. He was 79 years old. IT WAS THE SADDEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE. He was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life. Jon loved life to the fullest. He would totally light up the room when he walked in. Jon always had hilarious jokes, and everyone would crack up. Anybody that truly knew Jon, loved him. Jon loved to fish, camp, and play cribbage. He loved to walk in Gibson Park daily when the weather was nice...in cold weather he walked on the treadmill daily. He was a healthy eater and an excellent Chef. He was a GOLDEN GLOVES BOXER. Jon had many successful careers and many achievements in his beautiful life. He was a Prosecuting Attorney, Head of the Economic Growth Counsel in Great Falls and Chief of POLICE in Colorado. He worked for the Great Falls Tribune for several years and became a Traveling Printer throughout many states and many newspaper companies. He worked for the Governor in Montana, plus taught as a professor at many schools. Jon also worked construction and did masonry work. Jon spent several years working at Sleeping Buffalo. He was a legal advisor to many. Jon was the kindest and most wonderful person I have ever known. Patrick and Rose Contway were his parents. He had several siblings, but he always had the most fun with his brother Tommy and sisters Patsy & Myrtle. Jon, you will be in my heart forever and I will Love and Miss you Forever. My life will never be the same without you. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. YOU ARE MY ONE AND ONLY TRUE LOVE.
Your wife, soul mate, and best friend........Cheryl Contway
