Malta Wrestling Club at Montana Open; Wright takes First!

For the second weekend in a row, more than 2,400 youth wrestlers took over the First Interstate Bank Arena at MetraPark in Billings, from Saturday, March 26, to Sunday, March 27.

The Malta Wrestling Club consisted of 19 wrestlers and the group took 53rd place overall with a score of 55 points. Teams flew from as far away as Pennsylvania to compete.

Gemma Wright led the charge for Malta, taking first place in the Girls 8 & Under 42 class. Though the division consisted of three wrestlers, Wright pinned both of her opponents, earning five points for Malta. She pinned Brooklyn Maxwell of the Casca...
