One Nation, Under God
Faye Alice Helm of Malta MT passed away December 23 at Billings Clinic of heart issues. She was 77 years old
Faye was born in Havre, MT on January 17, 1944, to Ted and Margaret Duvall. She was a barkeep and mixologist for over 30 years at various locations around the state. She brought a warm smile, a friendly attitude, and a generous light to each location. She was the proud mother of three daughters from her first marriage Roxanne, Tammy, and Nikki.
She was married to the love of her life, Donald L. Helm. This marriage gave her the wonderful opportunity to be a stepmother to Debbie, Dennise, Donnie, Dori, Derre, and Danny. Although they were already adults at the time of marriage, she accepted them all into her family with a loving heart.
Faye loved sitting on her deck in Landusky overlooking the majestic mountains that surrounded her. In the last few years, she had become a local dance enthusiast - spinning and twirling around the floor of local establishments. She also enjoyed passing the time with a good book, games on her tablet, and games of pool among friends. Faye always had a positive attitude and welcoming smile. Her charm was surpassed by no one, and she kindly welcomed all who she met. Those who met her found a priceless friendship. Those who loved her were cherished dearly. The lucky ones who experienced both are forever grateful to have been part of her world.
Faye was preceded in death by: her father and mother, her sisters Winnie and Honey, and her brothers Ace and Mark. In March of 2016 her heart was broken when her love Don passed away.
Faye is survived by: her sister, Ree Ragsdale, her 9 children, her 16 grandchildren, her 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
There was a Celebration of Life on December 31 at the Malta VFW from 4 to 5 pm. The burial will take place in summer of 2022 in Landusky, MT. The family will update with details. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Malta VFW are requested to honor the location of so many of Faye's cherished memories.
We will forever feel her presence in the sunrises and sunsets that pour over the mountain peaks in Landusky. She will be missed by many.
