The Lady Coyotes Girls basketball team had a pair of losses to tough opponents last weekend.
The Lady Coyotes fell 67-17 to the Roy-Winifred Lady Outlaws on Friday, January 7. The team then lost 71-43 to the Class B Poplar Indians.
In their loss to Poplar, the Lady Coyotes were led in scoring by Kataya KillEagle who scored 19 points. Imagin Fox and Kylee both had 11 points each, and Jean Jackson had two points.
Dodson outscored Poplar 16-8 in the third period. The team was short-handed with six athletes, two of which were eighth-graders.
In their loss to Roy-Winifed, Dodson was led by KillEagle who had 15 points. Ball had two points.
Dodson is scheduled to face Hays-Lodge Pole in Hays on Tuesday, January 11, at 5 p.m. They will then travel to Frazer to take on the Bearcubs at 6 p.m. The Coyotes are also scheduled to host Lustre in Dodson on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
