One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, December 8, 2021

Sympathy to family who lost children in the school shootings. So sad.

Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! My granddaughter Challise and her husband Tim Hoff came from Bozeman. We had a delicious dinner, with turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and pies. Others joined us for visits.

Then Friday we went to Sleeping Buffalo, which was full, including babies and people of all ages. A nice weekend.

Now Christmas season has officially begun. I love the music of Christmas!

Here are the coming Christmas events in Whitewater:

Whitewater School Concert is Monday, December 20, 2021, at 7 p.m.

Whitewater Lutheran Church Christmas program is Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:15 a.m. A potluck will follow. All are welcome to attend.

Reminder: Senior meals are at North 40 Café on Wednesdays. Cost is $5.00 for seniors, others are $8.00. (Guests are welcome).

North 40 has shelves of books and videos to borrow. Help yourself!

Note: If you have news-Call Me or send me your news.

The US/Canadian border is open. I heard you must have your Covid-19 shots to cross. Call them first.

Here’s a report from the Whitewater weather Bureau. We had a skiff of snow, but it melted right away, as the ground is parched. Now the wind is blowing so hard, a person can hardly walk or stand.

I remember December weather with 2 feet of snow and temps 20 below zero.

That is cold! Beware as the month isn’t over yet!

Be prepared with warm clothes and winterized homes and cars.

Don’t forget to ship early for Christmas!

As always (Take Care,)

Helen A.
