DISPOSITION OF OBSOLETE AND UNDESIRABLE PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given as required by Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of Trustees of Malta School District 14A adopted a resolution at a special trustee meeting on September 20, 2021 to dispose of abandoned, obsolete, unsuitable and undesirable property of minimal value, specifically a 1999 Bluebird Activity Bus. The sale will be held by sealed bid with a minimum bid of $2,500. Bids must be received no later than 3:00 PM on October 20, 2021. Bids should be turned in to the Malta Public Schools Central Office. Bids will be opened at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees to be held on October 25, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the board room of the Malta Middle/High School located at 1 High School Lane, South 9th Street West. Sale must be completed by November 5, 2021.

For more information you may phone the school office at 654-1871. Any taxpayer of the district may appeal this resolution to district court anytime prior to the effective date of this resolution. If you are interested in purchasing this item, please do so by sealed bid no later than 3:00 PM on October 20, 2021. The effective day of the resolution will be October 20, 2021.

NOTICE OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION

On Friday, October 15, 2021, the Phillips County Election Office will mail ballots for the upcoming Town of Dodson, Town of Saco and City of Malta – Ward 1 Mail Ballot Elections to be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021. These are mail ballot elections. There will be no polling place open for these elections. All active registered voters in the Town of Dodson, Town of Saco and City of Malta – Ward 1 will receive a ballot by mail.

Persons who are not registered to vote must appear in person at the Election Office with proper identification, register to vote and be issued a ballot. All mailed ballots and ballots from late registrants must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 2, 2021 for your vote to count.

All inactive voters may receive a ballot by appearing in person or contacting the election office and presenting proper identification. The Phillips County Election Office is located in the County Courthouse at 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta MT and open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 2, 2021.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER CONSOLIDATION OF THE OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS WITH THE COUNTY TREASURER/ASSESSOR

Notice is hereby given, that the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County, Montana, did on October 4, 2021, adopt and pass a resolution of intention to consider the consolidation of the Office of Superintendent of Schools and County Treasurer/Assessor beginning with the term of office that begins January 1, 2023.

Notice is further given, that the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County, Montana, will conduct a public hearing on October 25, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at the Office of the Phillips County Commissioners, Phillips County Courthouse, 314 South 2nd Avenue West, Malta, Montana, for the purpose of hearing evidence and testimony of any citizen of Phillips County, Montana, for or against the consolidation of the office of County Superintendent of Schools and the County Treasurer/Assessor.
