One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, October 6, 2021

Welcome to October!

I can vouch that the trees along the Milk River are beautiful this fall, all the way to it Bank! The yellows and greens of the cottonwoods combined with the occasional red or orange of one of the bushes just made the trip enjoyable! I traveled on highway 2 to meet my sisters, Debbie and Dee in Cut Bank for the memorial of my cousin Lisa’s husband. It was also a fund raiser of gigantic proportions!

Buster Stordahl got to spend some time with the Lumsden family while I was gone. They take such good care of him!

Loring was happening this past weekend! The Andrew Flansaas Memorial Run was held. Carmen Lumsden was the coordinator, with t shirts designed for each runner. The volunteers included the bus driver, two flaggers, and the timers. The 10K was from the west side of the Lumsdens to Loring. The 5K was from the top of the Sag to Loring. Carol served sloppy Joes afterwards.

The Loring Dance was also that evening. A small group of people attended, but those people had so much fun! Pete Lumsden won the corn hole boards and DeeAnn Howard won the Blackstone tailgater! Congrats to all!

Happy birthday to Janet Johnston at the HLRC! Tina and Sir Charles Russell took her to dinner on Saturday! And then she had cake to share on Sunday! Healing prayers to Cindy Clark who has an injured hand.

Be kind to each other!
