One Nation, Under God
On Tuesday, September 7, CHS Big Sky presented a check to the Malta Food Bank for money raised through our annual Harvest for Hunger food drive. Here is a little information on the drive.
CHS Big Sky employees from across Montana have worked with farmers and ranchers, community organizations and businesses to fight rural hunger through the annual CHS Harvest for Hunger food, funds, and grain drive. Currently 1 in every 10 adults and 1 in 6 children in Montana struggle with hunger. People facing hunger in Montana are estimated to report needing $55,846,000 more per year to meet their food needs. This year CHS Big Sky did their annual Harvest for Hunger fundraiser in the form of a raffle, with all of the CHS Big Sky locations selling tickets throughout the month of March. Raffle items included a Pit Boss smoker, processed pigs and Yeti coolers. CHS Big Sky sold $5,240.00 in raffle tickets and CHS Inc. doubled that amount totaling $10,480.00 which was then donated to the Malta Food Bank.
