One Nation, Under God
The temperature this week has been really warm for this time of year. Most days were in the high 80’s and low 90’s! Still have some dew in the mornings, thank goodness! The gardens are slowing down in production. I certainly enjoyed the zucchini that Cindy gave me before she left on vacation!
Congratulations to the Blunts on the birth of Dorothy Lynn! She is such a sweetie and I could tell that the whole family is in love with her! She was born on the 5 of September. It sounds like all the students who are in athletic competitions are doing well! The Whitewater cross country team has already qualified for state! The volleyballers are winning and even though no varsity footballers are going in from Whitewater, the younger boys are having success!
I got word that Donna Schaffer passed away this week. She fought that cancer until she couldn’t fight anymore. Her memorial service will be on the 16 in Grand Forks, ND. She will be missed. Donna taught at the Loring Colony for many years! Deep condolences from the Loring community.
I enjoyed all the parents and children who stopped at the GPDM for the Book Signing and the kid’s day activities! I hope they all had fun!
I visited Debbie Dyrdahl in her new apartment at the HLRC one day this past week. She is settling into her new home! Her brother and sister were here to help get her moved. She said that Connie Wasson had visited her also and she appreciated that! I saw a few bald eagles this past week! They are so majestic!
Happy fall y’all!
