One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, September 1, 2021

The moon is waning and soon it will be a new moon, really dark, but great star gazing time! The rains were spotty this week. Every drop is welcomed! The grass greened up a little, and the dust was washed off the trees! The goldfinches have really moved into my sunflowers! They are quite the acrobats, standing upside down to get the seed! I had a hummingbird come into my feeder this week! I was lucky to see it! Cecile Norville spent the week with Nana and Papa Lumsden. Pete Lumsden and Jay Blunt finished up the harvest this week. Just in time for the new baby to be born!

Cindy and David Clark were dinner guests of Dixie Stordahl on Saturday. Lots of conversation and food!

I went to the Fort Peck Theater “Terms of Endearment” on Sunday with a busload of people! The play was enjoyable! The trip down without a care on the bus was relaxing! And the dinner at Stoughies in Hinsdale was delightful! An overall fun day! I got reacquainted with a few friends, but knew most of them! Shout out to Colleen Cluck!

Tina and Charles Russell took Janet Johnston to the museums in Malta on Saturday! Judging by the photographs, I’d say they had a good time! Good to make these memories!

The Kenny Clark family also attended the play on Sunday! Bryt said “I didn’t think I’d see so many people I knew here.” when she saw Carol Lumsden, Lu Besel, Bruce and Lynn Hill, and myself!

The temperature has cooled down but still, the forecast has us in the 90’s this week! No frost yet, but getting close some nights.

Until next week, be extra kind! Pay it forward if you can.
