One Nation, Under God
Sorry to be gone! Here are last week's and this week's tidbits together!
Last week it rained on Thursday and Friday and made a world of difference to yards and the landscape. Welcomed by everyone!
Friday was Tammy Voice's birthday so late greetings are sent to her.
Terri Cole stayed in Malta with Steve's family so, her car could be serviced on Thursday and on the weekend was visited by daughter Mary and her twin grandchildren and by Heidi Cole from Billings.
Sorry, the little bird didn't catch the Dodson Packet last week when the Ole Lady was gone for a few days to Belgrade and Choteau to catch up with a few kids. Daughter Teri Leys and grandson Roper and Asher came from Choteau and picked me up and Teri and Asher brought me home. Attended a shower in Belgrade; saw grandkids Kelly and Aaron (Tiffany) Leys, Keelan and Kristi Wilson, great-grandkids Kieth and Kortni Wilson, plus all the other people, then on to Choteau and coming home from there we had supper with Bill and Marilyn Henry in Havre. The kids are growing so fast it was good to see them while we could still recognize them. We were greeted by rain coming home so that was a nice surprise. My lawn has started to turn green again, even where I have not watered it and it looks so good. Now if I get my falling down fence fixed things will look better around here again.
Leona Kienenberger was ill with a suspected stroke and was supposed to be flown to Billings but they could not take her and it was deemed it was other issues and not a stroke. Get well wishes and prayers are sent to her for a speedy recovery.
It was sad to see long-time residents Molly Jo Minugh and Juanita Jones have passed away. Condolences and prayers are sent to the families of both. They were both well known in the community.
Vivian Bruckner of Malta, and Chuck and Carol Tomes of Malta and Plant City., Florida who have purchased the house Eva Bruckner lived in visited Polly Solberg on Tuesday
Dora's daughter Cheryl and her husband came on Saturday and rebuilt her collapsing fence and did some other little jobs for her. After lunch, on Sunday they returned home to Laurel.
They are busy pouring the pads to set the last of the new trailers for the teachers. It replaces the double-wide that is set north of the school. They are going to look nice when finished.
Happy Birthday to Jim Shettel and all others celebrating a birthday this month and congratulations to all celebrating anniversaries.
Old age is when you first realize other people's faults are no greater than your own.
Have a good week and enjoy the nice fall days we have been having. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
