Barbara M. Hofer

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara M. Hofer from Loring, Montana, on August 9, 2021, at the age of 77 years. Barbara was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, going into the arms of Jesus, where she was greeted by loved ones who passed before her.

Barbara was born June 21, 1944, in Cranford, Alberta. She lived at Spring Creek Colony, SK Canada, for most of her young life. Barbara married her loving husband, Mike, of Loring, Montana, on October 16, 1966, and had five beautiful children, two of which passed a day after birth.

Barbara served 17 years as head cook at Loring Colony, a job she enjoyed dearly. She was also the colony’s fabric lady and helped her husband at the milk barn for several years. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma, aunty, and friend.

Leaving behind to mourn and miss her are her husband Mike of Loring, MT, children, Mike (Debra) of Loring, MT, D. Theresa of Turner, MT, and Min. John (Anita) of Loring, MT. Her brothers and sisters, Mike (Mary) of Elkwater, AB, Martha (Leonard) of Hillridge, AB, Min. George (Esther) of Crystal Lake, SK, Min. Reuben (Judith) of Elkwater, AB, Martin (Barbara) of Elkwater, AB, P. Katie of Wolf Creek, AB, Min. Paul (Susie) of Elkwater, AB, Sam (Susan) of Elkwater, AB, Lydia (Jake) of Holt, AB, (Joshua) Sarah of Crystal Lake, SK, and (John) Anna of Elkwater, AB.

Barbara had seven grandkids whom she loved dearly, Titus (Lillian), Janel, Jordan (Leah), Samantha, Calvin, Amber, and Victoria. She had three beautiful great-grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life, Alaina, Emily, and Kaydia.

Barbara was a great role model and will live on in the hearts of those that loved her. Until we meet again.
