One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, July 21, 2021

Whoa! Is it hot enough? I think so! I’m in Billings for a week and it is very hot here. But just have to remember the month of January and realize that winter is not that far away!

I took a tour with a bunch of ladies to Wyoming this weekend! We stopped at the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody! It was fantastic! I stayed for 6 hours and hit every part but didn’t read everything. We tasted the Wyoming Whiskey offerings at Kirby, visited the bentonite plant where kitty litter is processed. The drive on to Thermopolis and the hot springs. The spa area was very warm and healing. We also went to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and had a quick tour of the museum, and drove out to the dig site where there are three active digs plus an area covered by a building for educational tours. As a dinosaur geek, I was so impressed!

We also toured two dams. One by Thermopolis and the other one in the Wind River Canyon called the Buffalo Bill Dam. The canyons were spectacular! Then on to Billings! It was a very fun trip! Jeanie Green actually met Kelly Cole at the whiskey place and at Thermopolis totally by accident! What a small world!

Don’t forget our own water fun park at the Loring Funday Sunday on July 25!
