Open House Scheduled to Discuss Dodson South Canal Bridge Replacement Project

The Montana Department of Transportation invites the public to an open house. The project team will provide a general overview of the anticipated design, including detour options, and will be available to discuss community needs with members of the public. Team members will also be available to answer questions. The open house will offer opportunity for the public to provide feedback on different detour options currently being explored.

The Dodson South Canal project will replace the existing bridge on Secondary Highway 204 (Stage Road) approximately 1.5 miles south of Dodson over the canal. The proposed replacement structure is a double-cell concrete box culvert. Project construction will likely begin in 2024, late Fall or early Spring, depending on the availability of funding. The length of construction depends on which detour option is selected but could run as long as three months.

June 8th, 2021, 4:00 – 7:00 pm The event will be open house format to maximize social distancing for attendees; come whenever is most convenient for you.

To comply with CDC recommendations, the open house space will be large enough to adequately socially distance. Masks and sanitizer will be provided to attendees who wish to use them.
