Cruise on Main: The good times roll in Malta

On Friday, April 23, the city of Malta got out and about in their cars and let the good times roll! The weather was a bit on the chilly side, but that didn't stop a large number of people from getting out. There were many different types of vehicles out on the loop. From new cars to old classics, pickup trucks and even one RV!

People sitting along the route were waving and trying their best to get everyone to honk as they passed by.

Many of the local restaurants and bars were busy throughout the night.

First State Bank of Malta was handing out bottles of water and certificates for a small ice cream cone at Dairy Queen in their drive through lane.

Smoking Ox had their food truck set up near the south end of the loop, and they had a line at the window most of the night.

Mary Oxarart, of the Smoking Ox said, "One of my goals was to not run out of food, and we didn't. When I heard Joe's wasn't going to be open, I knew it could go either way, but with the weather, I thought it would keep some people home. I think everyone was ready to get out."

There was definitely a sense of spring fever in town that night. Everyone stayed safe and much fun was had by all.
