Homeschool Families hold Science Fair

Malta homeschool families held a Homeschool Science Fair on Friday, March 26th. Ten students entered projects ranging from collections displayed by younger students, to descriptions of processes in nature, and others showed experiments utilizing the scientific method. Judges were Janeen Brookie, Bridgett Ereaux, and Orvin Solberg. The Outstanding Scientific Method Award was presented to first grader, Erin Solberg, for her "Fireworks in a Bowl" experiment which tested the abilities of various soaps to affect the surface tension of water, and the Outstanding Presentation Medal was awarded to third grader, Halle Bruckner, for her display and description of "All About Fossils of Trees," which included samples of petrified wood.
