GPDM to welcome full triceratops exhibit

The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum (GPDM) is very excited to announce the summer arrival of one of the most recognizable dinosaurs in the world. A Triceratops! He goes by the name of "Herb" and he is a cast of the famous Triceratops on display at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, New York.

This cast is coming to the GPDM by way of the "extreme kindness and generosity" of the Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas.

"Herb", named so because the Triceratops is an herbivore, lived 66 million years ago and called the Hell Creek Formation in Montana home. The crew at GPDM has been able to dig up a few pieces of Triceratops in southern Phillips County.

Early this summer, members of the museum will be heading down to Texas to pick "Herb" up. They say to be on the lookout for updates on the "Herb" road trip!
