Phillips County Sheriff's Report for Wednesday, January 27, 2021

Check out our website: http://www.phillipscountysheriff.org and our Facebook page, Phillips County Sheriff’s Office. Our Facebook page does give reports of scams and other important information as needed to get to the public.

If you are planning on using Trafton Park shelters for an event in the future, please contact the Malta City Office, 654-1251, to reserve the shelters, get the key and pay for the electricity. The Phillips Co Sheriff’s Office will no longer be handling this. Thank you.

The Phillips Co Sheriff’s Office is no longer doing GVW Term or Trip permits. These are the yearly and 3-day permits for the over-width/height/weight that most semi trucks and trailers need. You can access these permits by going to http://www.mdt.mt.gov, then go to Doing Business-Commercial Motor Carriers-Permitting. Or you can call 406-444-7262, with questions.

Please remember to file a new burn permit for the 2021 year. If you plan on doing any burning in 2021, please file one BEFORE you start to burn. These permits are good for all of 2021 and you only have to file one a year, not every time you burn. All 2020 permits will no longer be valid after December 31, 2020. Call PCSO, 406-654-2350, to let Dispatch know of your controlled burn before you start, as a courtesy. Thank you!

Concealed Weapon Permits:

New and renewal applications for Concealed Weapon Permits may be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office anytime. Once approved, you will be contacted to come in on Wednesday between 9 AM and noon for fingerprints and photographs.
