Notice of Intent to obtain an Opencut Mining Permit

(Pursuant to Section 82-4-432[5-6], MCA).

Has submitted an Application for an Opencut Mining Permit with the Opencut Mining Program of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. The site is referred to as the Square Butte site. It is located on 108.6 acres in Sections 2 & 3, T24N, R24E, Phillips County.

Riverside Contracting, Inc. will be operating at this site periodically for the removal of up to 1,750,000-cy of material for area highway construction projects. A portable crusher and a portable hot mix asphalt plant will be operating at this site as needed. Access for the site is about 1.0 miles northeast of the Highway 66 intersection on Landusky Rd.

The Phillips County Regional Airport Authority hereby announces its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 0.64% for FAA-funded contracts/agreements. The proposed goal pertains to federal fiscal years 2021 through 2023.

The proposed goal and its attendant methodology are available for inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Malta Airport’s pilot lounge, Malta, MT, for 30 days from the date of this publication.
