Mavs, Coyotes, clash in Whitewater

The Dodson Coyotes and North Country Mavericks squared off in Whitewater last Saturday, January 9.

The Coyotes were able to win the game 58-38, led by sophomore Julian Benson, who had 12 points. Dwight Werk had ten points, Alex Werk had 10 points, Jeremiah Benson had nine points. Zarek Jones had seven points, Michael Jaynes had five points and Kadin Racine had five points.

The Mavericks were led by Jon Rey Taylor, who had 11 points. Loden Idler had ten points, Jesse Lee had six points, Trey Johnson had six points, and Beau Simonson had five points.

One night prior, Dodson defeated the Roy-Winifred Outlaws with a game-winning shot by Jones. The final score was 40-38.

Jones led the Coyotes with 12 points. Je. Benson had 10 points, D. Werk had seven points, Ju. Benson had four points, Jaynes had three points, A. Werk had two points, and Racine had two points.

On Friday, January 8, the Mavericks lost 60-44 to the Scobey Spartans. The Mavericks were led by Taylor, who scored 15 points, Simonson had 13 points, Idler had seven points, Johnson had six points, and Lee had three points.

On Thursday, January 7, the Mavericks fell to the Class B Glasgow Scotties. The score was 54-47.

The Mavericks were led by Idler, who had 17 points. Taylor had 11 points, Simonson had eight points, Johnson had six points, Jeremy Longtree had three points, and Lee had two points.
