Senior News for January 6, 2021

The Malta Senior Citizens will hold their annual meeting Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the center. Dues of $15.00 are due and necessary for voting privileges.

Three director positions, each three year terms, are up: Margaret Leader, who also serves as treasurer, Marlyn Orahood, and Sharon Kindle who serves as secretary. Orahood has announced she will not seek another term; the other two are seeking reelection. Other directors are Leonard Leader and Jerry Depute. Barb Stevens serves as president, a position she has held for 11 years.

At this time, Shanghai rummy and bingo are on hold until further notice.

Whist, Bridge, and Pinochle players, are needed due to the illness of some players. Bridge is every Monday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 1 p.m.; call Margo Rush for details at 654-2666. Whist is Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. and pinochle is Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Call Barb Stevens at 654-1392 for more information. Weight Management is every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and interested persons can contact Sherrie Ottinger at 654-2854.

Due to limiting space at the center, no Biscuits and Gravy nor Corned Beef and Cabbage dinners are planned for 2021. If possible, a Soup Luncheon will be held in April with date to be announced.
