David “Dave” John Broadbrooks 65 passed away in the Billings Clinic from complications of Covid-19 on December 18, 2020. He was born in Malta, Montana, to Dan and Harriet Broadbrooks of Saco, Montana on August 19, 1955. He attended school in Saco, until 1966, when his family moved to Malta. He graduated from Malta High School in 1973 and was proud to be a Malta Mustang. He attended Montana State where he met and married Janet Dean in 1981 in Bozeman. They had two children Phylena and Dean. They moved to Malta where they joined his father in the Title Insurance business and he became a Title Insurance Agent in 1983.
Dave loved life. He was an avid golfer, MOA, Bucket member, bowler, and dart player. He lived his life to the fullest and without regret. He enjoyed the company of others and everyone enjoyed being around him. You could often hear him before you could see him, his laugh was infectious.
A private service was held at the Malta Cemetery on Tuesday, December 22nd. Leaving his two children Phylena (Aaron) Babbitt of Vinemont, Alabama and Dean Broadbrooks of Malta, Montana. His mother Harriet Broadbrooks of Malta. Sisters: Linda (Pat) Reeb of Riverton, WY, Danette Broadbrooks of Nye, MT. Brothers: Darryll Broadbrooks of Billings, MT, and Dennis Broadbrooks of Malta, MT. Aunts and Uncles: Ann and Bill Moran of Bozeman, MT, Lee Miller of Stevensville, MT, Beverly (Carl) Ferree of San Diego, CA. Brother-in-law Dwayne Simanton, nephews and nieces Joe and Julie Simanton, and Rhett. Erik and Shayley Simanton, Mason, Collin, and Brooklyn. Kris and Stacie Simanton, Luke, and Tessa. Andrena Lefdahl, Jason Gonzales, and Brody. Trisha Hughes, Anna and Barry Malmberg, Axel Malmberg and Cole and Tina Larson, and Cody, as well as his special friends Roger and Tina Amundson and Chip Young.
Meeting him on his next adventure was his ex-wife Janet, father Dan G. Broadbrooks, sister Roxanne Simanton as well as his grandparents.
