One Nation, Under God
Happy New Year to you all! I'm sure you all had a memorable Christmas and are ready for a fantastic new year!
We were not privileged enough to see the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on the 21st, but we did see it two days later when the two were just a little separated! What a special event to mark the solstice in this pandemic year! Always a sign of better things to come!
Christmas Eve guests of Cindy and David Clark were Robert and Becca Engum of Great Falls. Tracy Hanley, and Janice Erfle, of Billings, were weekend guests of Brenda and Kenny Clark. Tawnya and Jake Coleman and boys of Gillette, WY, were guests of Mick and Paula Morrison.
I was invited to Ruth and John Flansaas for Christmas Eve. Pete and Carol Lumsden, Gloria and Jerry Salveson, Kyle and Jade Salveson, and four of their kids were enjoying time at Grandma and Grandpa’s place! It was a wonderful dinner and then everyone opened their gifts!
This staunch Scot/Irishman tried the lutefisk and enjoyed it! But didn't eat much so the real Norwegians could enjoy it! My name Stordahl is Norwegian but I'm Irish and Scottish.
Whitney and Jay Blunt and children spent the holiday with the Blunt's in South Phillips county! Pete and Carol Lumsden had Christmas Day with the Slade family in Malta with Jonnae and Jim and kids. The kids will be staying with Nana and papa for this week.
One of my amaryllis is almost ready to bloom. It will be bright red, my other one is just growing yet. It will be white and red I think!
A bit of snow fell on Sunday morning! No wind so it was quite pretty!
The birds that I've seen this week include golden eagle, kestrel, owls, and other larger Hawks, along with the sharp tail, pheasants, and little sparrows! The deer and antelope are plentiful! So are the coyotes and foxes!
Loring Lutheran Church will have services on Jan. 3, at 9. Hope to see you there!
Have a great week and be kind!
