One Nation, Under God
Phillips County residents have once again shown their generosity and love for a friend in need with another amazing KMMR Radiothon, which was held on Friday, November 20. Callers contributed over $20,000 to Chayten Pippin’s medical fund as of the last count.
Chayten, 18, was diagnosed with a Desmoplastic Small Round Cell tumor, a very rare cancer that begins with a cell in the pelvis that attaches itself to an organ. There are under 400 known cases. Chayten, along with his parents Heidi and Chris and his younger brother Carter are currently residing in Denver as he continues to receive chemotherapy at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
Those who would still like to donate to the radiothon can do so at KMMR or at the First State Bank. In addition, "Bah Humbug Cancer!" raffle tickets will be sold by some pretty busy little elves around the county with a ton of really awesome prizes. Tickets are being printed, so keep your eyes peeled for a chance to win and a sure bet on money well spent. Tickets will be $5 each or 6 for $20.00, with the drawing to be held on Tuesday, December 22nd. You need not be present to win, but you do need to be a Montana resident.
The Pippin family sends their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has donated, or otherwise shown their love.
