COVID update for the week of November 18

Phillips County Health Department reported 15 new cases between Friday, November 13th, and Sunday, November 15th.     

As of Monday, there are 30 active cases, with 196 cases considered recovered for a total of 230 cases overall. At present, three residents are hospitalized (out of 15 total hospitalizations) and we have lost four Phillips County residents to this virus.

Statewide, 1,239 new cases were reported as of Monday, November 16th, with 6,184 cases reported in the previous seven days.

Based on state and county data, Montana has 48,723 total cases. Of those, 17,834 cases are active, while 27,496 Montanans have recovered from the virus. Currently, 453 Montanans are hospitalized, and 540 Montanans have died from the disease.

Nationwide, 11.2 million cases have been reported since January 21, 2020, which is one million more than at this time a week ago.  There were over 135, 000 new cases as of Monday afternoon, November 16, 2020.  The CDC reported a total of 246 thousand lives lost since the beginning of the pandemic.

Worldwide, there have been 54.7 million total cases, with 35.1 million considered recovered and 1.32 million lives lost.
