One Nation, Under God
Like most things this year, the Phillips County Historical Society has had to get creative with their plans for their annual Christmas Festival. The fundraiser, which will begin on Monday, November 9, will culminate with a live auction which will be aired on KMMR 100.1 FM and kmmrfm.com on Thursday evening, December 3 at 6:05 p.m.
Phillips County businesses, communities, organizations, and individuals will be competing in the "Festival of Trees" event. During the festival guests will enjoy bucket raffles, silent auctions, and voting for their favorite tree, wreath, or swag.
Tickets for the bucket raffle and tokens for voting may be purchased at the PC Museum Gift Shop at any time (Nov 9 – December 3). The tickets are $1.00 each or an arm's length for $5.00. Each ticket counts as one chance to win. Tokens are priced @ $1.00 each or $5.00 per 10 tokens.
This contest is the main annual fundraiser for the Phillips County Historical Society. The items will be on display at the PC Museum from November 10 to the evening of December 3. The public is invited to take part in the silent auction, bucket raffle, and balloting for their favorite entry. Each day between Nov. 9 and December 3, the museum will be hosting" mini-socials" with light refreshments, coffee & cookies to be served. Visitors are encouraged to view and vote, with a purchased token, on their favorite live auction item, bid on their favorite Christmas silent auction item, and enter the bucket raffle.
All balloting, bidding, and "bucketing" will conclude on the evening of Thursday, December 3, during the live auction being aired on KMMR. In addition to the live auction, the winners of the silent auction the bucket drawings and "Peoples' Choice "will be aired over KMMR. Auction items purchased and won are to be retrieved and paid for at the Phillips County Museum.
Please join your fellow Phillips County Museum/Historical Society supporters in celebrating "Christmas in the Air". If you have any questions or would appreciate help with bidding the night of the auction, please contact the museum at 654-1037.
