The Montana Single Audit Act was established to help ensure that Montana local governments provide transparency and accountability to their taxpayers. The Act requires that all local governments complete & submit Annual Financial Reports to the Department of Administration. NOTICE OF TAXES DUE
2020 Real Property tax statements have been mailed and the first half of all taxes levied and assessed will be due and payable on or before 5 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 and that unless paid prior to that time the amount then due will be delinquent and will draw interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% per month from the time of delinquency until paid and 2% will be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty.
The second half of all taxes levied and assessed will be due and payable on or before 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2021, and unless paid prior to that time the taxes will be delinquent until paid, and will draw interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% per month from the time of delinquency and 2% will be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty.
Taxes are to be paid at the County Treasurer’s Office, 314 S 2nd Ave West, Malta, Mt or by mailing payments to PO Box 49, Malta, Mt. 59538-0049

DISPOSITION OF OBSOLETE AND UNDESIRABLE PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given as required by Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of Trustees of Malta School District 14A adopted a resolution at a regular trustee meeting on July 13, 2020 to dispose of abandoned, obsolete, unsuitable and undesirable property of minimal value, including but not limited to various tools, computer equipment, office equipment and office furniture. The sale will be held at the back of the Head Start Building (also known as the old Country Home) located at 117 S 9th St W. The date of the sale is set for October 28, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This sale was postponed from the original date of August 14, 2020.
For more information you may phone the school office at 654-1871. Any taxpayer of the district may appeal this resolution to district court anytime prior to the effective date of this resolution. If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please come to the Head Start Building on October 28, 2020 to view the items and offer a purchase price. The effective day of the resolution will be August 12, 2020.

The Montana Water Court has entered its Preliminary Decree for Basin 40E and the Decree is now available for your review.

OBJECTIONS
All objections must be filed on the forms provided by the Water Court and must be received at the Water Court by April 5, 2021. Objections can be filed electronically at [email protected] or sent to Montana Water Court, PO Box 1389, Bozeman, MT 59771.
EXTENSIONS
The Water Court may grant a request for an extension of the time for filing objections. A request for an extension must be received by the Water Court on or before April 5, 2021. If an extension is granted, it will apply to everyone. Any extension will be posted at the offices listed above and will be advertised once in this newspaper.
RIGHT TO APPEAL
If you do not participate in Water Court proceedings, your right to appeal an adverse decision is limited by Section 85-2-235, MCA. If changes were made to your abstract, you may challenge those changes by filing an objection. You may also address DNRC issue remarks by an objection. If there are changes and/or issue remarks on your abstract which are not resolved by an objection, these will be addressed and resolved by the Water Court.
