One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for September 30, 2020

Another week has passed and it has certainly been fall weather. The winds have blown hard and the leaves have suddenly turned golden and the wind is doing a good job of blowing them off and all over.

The COVID scare is around, some make it a small thing but then we look at the reports of all the new cases all over the state we have to take it seriously. It is too bad that it has closed so many places so there is hardly any social life anymore and certainly not as we all knew it before.

Schools have resumed their classes and as far as it is known it is working so far. Kids need interaction with others for stimulation and growth.

The memorial for "Red" Williams was held at the Williams ranch on Saturday. Sympathy to all who knew liked and enjoyed Red, it is always sad to lose younger people.

Polly Solberg went to Miles City and then on to Billings this week for a visit with family.

Bob Hicks, a former teacher at Dodson, is going to have an operation in Great Falls on October 1st. We wish him a good recovery.

Matt Cole, of Billings, was home for a couple of days visiting Wink and Terri and helping out with some small jobs. He went home to go hunting for a Mountain sheep he had a tag for.

Greetings and congratulations to all having a birthday and/or an anniversary this week as we wind up September.

We are so blessed to have had two small showers of rain this last week. it is really dry on top and so we need some more moisture going into the winter.

Remember altho the Catholic ladies are not having their usual fall ham dinner, they are having their raffle and bake sale and the ladies are out selling tickets for the drawing next Sunday.

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

Have a good week and hope for the winds to go down! Also for some more nice fall weather.
