Coach Report: Dodson XC in Havre

Saturday's meet at the Fort Peck campground was a good day.

The Dodson junior high boys team ran well. Mason LoneBear posted his personal best of 10:44. Chaske Cliff is suffering from an ankle injury, but still ran well with a time of 11:10 followed by his younger brother Wamni Cliff who's time was 11:59, the team was rounded out by Sonny Cole. Cole is suffering from a knee injury but ran a time of 16:42.

The Varsity girls team was missing a few members. Emma Cole and Jean Jackson ran for the Lady Coyotes. Jean had her first race since middle school and came so close to qualifying with a time of 35:27. Emma Cole finished her second race with a state qualifying time of 33:28. She ran a good race and has plenty of room for improvement. Emma does best when she has encouragement along the course. Next week I expect the other three to also qualify for state. We have a busy schedule coming up. Back to back meets this week at Hays and Frazer and then we will travel to Shelby on Monday the 28.
