We had good rain on Saturday night, water everywhere but the wind blew all day so it is already starting to dry out again. It is surprisingly dry on top, we could use some more rain.

Sympathy is extended to all the people in the state that has had the heavy smoke from the California and Oregon fires. But imagine what the people in California and Oregon are suffering from that heavy smoke day after day! The hard winds over the lower part of the state on Saturday and Sunday have moved a lot of the smoke out now, much to the relief of the people there.

After the heavy frost on Labor Day, the mornings have been cool, but it is warmer during the day and there has not been any more frost.

The Catholic ladies will not be serving their fall Ham dinner as usual in October but will still have their raffle. Watch for the ladies selling tickets.

Birthday greetings to James Weigand, Cheryl Weaver, and all others celebrating another year. Anniversary congratulations are extended to Nick and Wendy Hopkins and Robert and Cathy Bear.

Commuter to seatmate: " We're equipped three ways to have all the answers----we've got an encyclopedia, a home computer, and a teenager!"
