Sympathy to victims of fires in California, Oregon, Montana and everywhere else.

Again, happy birthday to all September birthdays.

Last week, Jeanie G., Patty Y., and I attended volleyball games at Malta High School. Congratulations to the junior high penguins including Sommer Green of the Lady Mavericks.

On Friday, my friend Irene Wendalyn of Chinook came to Whitewater and we had lunch and on Saturday traveled to Saco for Saco Fun Days. We saw the parade and I knew some of the riders in the parade including Pat Murdock, Lexie Haynes, and Bill and Brenda Murdock. The horses were beautiful, especially the little colt who was following his mom who was pulling wagon. The Shrines also drove their little “cars” and that is a truly great organization.

Afterwards, I met my granddaughter, Chalise, who was with her mother Gail (my sister) and Chalise’s husband, Tim. We went for a swim in Saco and it was great except for all the “Trump” banners on the door. To the manager of the Sleeping Buffalo: a resort shouldn’t be used a political ad.

On Labor Day, the Milk River Wagon Train parade was canceled due to the rain which made some of the wagons stick in the mud. That was too bad.

Congratulations to Gary Anderson and Crew for riding in the wagon train, anyway.

Sally Austin’s house got a new coat of paint! Julie and Jeff Cole, the Reichelts, and Julie painted the house in one day. Good job!

In the Whitewater area, most farmers are through combining and harvesting. There is a lot of hay.

Thanks to Fred Allery for the lovely cucumbers and tomatoes he gave me. I appreciate that as well as the cookies from Pat Murdock they were delicious.

The Whitewater area received a nice, good rain, resulting in about 1 inch of moisture. But then, it turned cold. One day it was above 90-degrees and a few hours later it was 44-degrees. What a chance.
