One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, September 16, 2020

The migration of songbirds is in full swing! I've had many goldfinches, yellow-rumped warblers, and sightings of red or yellow-shafted flickers all week. An American kestrel showed up today with several other Hawks.

The Loring Woman's Club meets at the Gale Simonson home on Wednesday at 7. Whitney Blunt hosted the bible study this month. Six ladies attended.

The Blunt family helped cousin Beckett Blunt celebrate his birthday in Malta on Saturday!

Cindy and Dave Clark helped Robert Engum celebrate his 50th birthday in Great Falls on Saturday.

Dixie Stordahl and Cary Woodruff traveled to the Missouri River Breaks to view the bugling elk. But we were skunked. Didn't even see one! We met up with Charles and Tina Russell and visited for a while. They were camping at Kipp Park and since they stayed they did see a few! I'll stop another time and hopefully see some moving around.

Just a few guys finishing up combining now! The cattle are being brought in closer to the house for the winter and conditioning. Some of the guys are planting winter wheat.

In the early morning about an hour before sunup, Venus is very close to the sliver of a moon this week. It is impressive since those are the two brightest objects in the sky sans sun!

Remember to be kind!
