Former Malta resident succumbs to cancer

The cancer death of former Malta resident Timothy Charles Alzheimer was recently reported in the August 4 edition of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

Tim had served as a loan officer at Malta’s First Security Bank (now Bank of Malta) before moving to Bozeman to continue his education at MSU. While living in Malta he served as a volunteer fireman, including the chief, and was also involved as a high school football official.

Tim had earned a Business Education degree from MSU Northern and returned to MSU Bozeman to earn a master’s degree in business education. He later taught finance and accounting at MSU’s College of Business.

Tim continued to be active with students at the college level and was the coordinator for the Montana High School Business Challenge and the Stock Market Game. He continued to be active in several councils that promoted business and economics literacy. Tim was predeceased by his father Paul. He leaves his wife Stacey, mom Donna, brothers Greg and Gary, and several nieces and nephews.

Tim was an active member of St John Vianney Catholic Church in Belgrade, MT.
