One Nation, Under God
A comet has been described as a dirty snowball in space that is on an elliptical orbit around the sun. Its cycle takes many years traveling a long ways from the sun before turning back and gradually coming closer to the sun and developing a tail of debris flaring off the main core. Every so often we on earth are given the chance to observe it in the night sky. It is growing less visible as the month of July draws to an end, but I was able to see it a couple of nights. Find the The Big Dipper and look under it. A streak of light is very visible. If you use binoculars it is even more impressive. Good looking!
