NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY20 BUDGET AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County, Montana intend to amend the budget for the 2020 fiscal year and that said budget amendment affects the following functions: general government; ambulance; aging; and public health.
The purposed amendment will be due to the unanticipated revenue received from the State and Federal government and other grants due to the COVID-19 pandemic and CARES act as well as unanticipated revenue from other public health grants. Details are open to public inspection in the office of the County Clerk, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta, Montana.
The Board will meet on the 3rd day of August, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing and consideration of the amendment to the original budget. Said hearing is to be held in the Commissioners’ Office in the Phillips County Courthouse, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta Montana.
Any taxpaper or resident may appear at the hearing and will be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget amendments.

Notice of Meeting
The Malta School Board of Trustees will meet August 12, 2020 at 7:00pm in the Teachers Workroom of the Malta High/Middle School for the purpose of considering and adopting the Final Budget for Malta K-12 School District 14A. The meeting of the Trustees may be continued from day to day until the final adoption of the District’s Budget. Any taxpayer in the District may attend the meeting and be heard for or against any part of the budget. This notice is given per the requirements of MCA 20-9-115.

Resolution Regarding Property Abandoned, Obsolete, Undesirable or Unsuitable for School Purposes of the District:
The trustees of the Malta School District have determined that the following property of the district, located at the Head Start Building is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District.
The subject property is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes because it has been in storage for up to Five (5) years, including but not limited to various tools, computer equipment, office equipment and office furniture.
As provided in § 20-6-604, MCA, the trustees of the Malta School District hereby resolve to sell off the property identified above because it is or is about to become abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District.
The trustees of the Malta School District further resolve that notices of the resolution shall be published on the 22nd and 29th days of July 2020, in the Phillips County News newspaper.
This resolution shall become effective 14 days after publication of the second notice identified in the immediately preceding paragraph, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and as provided in §20-6-604, MCA.
The Malta Public Schools will hold a garage sale August 14, 2020, at the Malta Head Start Building from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

A PRE-BID WALK-THROUGH IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 22. 2020, AT 2:00PM. PARTICIPANTS SHOULD MEET AT THE MALTA READINESS CENTER 1008 S US 191 HWY, MALTA, MT 59538. ATTENDANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. PLEASE RESPECT THE CURRENT SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS.
Contract Time. All work shall reach Substantial Completion by or within: April 1, 2021. Please reference General Conditions Article 8 Section 8.1.9.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security meeting the requirements of the State of Montana in the amount of 10% of the total bid. After award, the successful bidder must furnish an approved Performance Security and a Labor & Material Payment Security each in the amount of 100% of the contract.
