One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for July 8, 2020

Sympathy to all who have been affected by the C 19 virus. Be aware of it.

It's July so happy birthday to all birthdays including my daughter Teresa of Swift Current, Canada, and Gayle Young of Saco. Also, happy anniversary to all having July celebrations. Hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July.

Dixie Stordahl and Lu Besel went to the children's day at the Dinosaur museum in Malta. Lu took Sommer Green along to help. The children enjoyed it all.

Bonnie McMullin and Lu Besel and others went to Havre to Barbara Mavencamp's funeral. Sympathy to the families.

Hello to all farmers and I would like to hear from you and know how your crops are growing. If you have a report or news call me at 674-5576. Let it ring.

Some young people in our Whitewater area are riding and driving mini motorbikes, and dirt bikes. Be careful to all drivers.

There was a 4-H meeting at the church in Whitewater. They are probably planning for the Phillips County Fair.

Yes, there will be a Phillips County Fair! But sad news that there will not be any carnival rides. There will be 4-H exhibits and all the other exhibits. Best of all, there will be the night concert and other shows. There will be plenty of good food in the stands. I like to eat my way across the midway. Don't you?

Whitewater weather is beautiful today. We had the thunder and lightning, then over an inch of rain! Great!

Here's a quick treat that's good.

Montana bonbons

3 ounces of almond Hershey bars melted, ground nuts or coconut, and one tub Cool Whip

Mix the melted candy bars and cool and then cut them into 1-inch. Roll the balls into the ground nuts or coconuts, and then keep in the fridge or freezer.

Enjoy,

Helen A.
