One Nation, Under God
6-3. Hi! Hope you all voted in the primary election.
Sympathy to Mike Freitag, a former Whitewater resident, on the loss of his mother, Mrs. Friegtag. She was a teacher, my daughter, Gail Y., was one of her students.
Madison and friends from Miles City, Mont., were guests at grandma Jeannie Green’s recently.
The farmers in Whitewater, as most farmers around the country, are working really hard to get their seeding done. It has been a better and cooler spring than usual in our area, so farmers are making up time. Good luck to all farmers.
Somer and Rory Green, of Spearfish, N. D., Are here visiting their grandparents. Rory likes to fish down there too. In Phillips County, some people fish at the Fort Peck Dam.
Memorial Day, many decorated graves, to remember loved ones. Jean G. and I, put decorations on the graves of may dad and mother and my brother Harry, who was Jean’s father.
Several from the area have nice cabins at the Nelson reservoir. They generally begin their season out there around Memorial Day. Others go to the Little Rocky Mountains in Zortman or Landusky and it is beautiful out there. The Missouri River goes through much of Montana. This includes the scenic drive through Russell County and over the Robinson bridge, and to the Missouri. Years ago, we crossed the Missouri River by barge. We drove the car onto the boat and sailed across, it was kind of scary.
It is June so happy birthday to all June birthdays including Janet Brown and Julie Austin Cole. Also happy anniversary to all celebrating anniversary's.
If you go walking or camping beware of snakes! Sally Austin said there are lots of snakes on our Creek ranch.
On Saturday night in Whitewater on Main Street, we saw a huge, long, snake going towards the post office! Maybe it was going to Mail a snake letter? Someone asked me what kind of snake was it and was it a poisonous snake? He rattlesnake? Well, I did not stop to ask the snake questions!
Dear Editor,
Attention Malta, Montana taxpayers; if you have a vacant house or vacant lot; The city will charge you water bills, monthly, even if you do not use water and garbage! This is unfair! If the water bills are not paid, the city will turn them over to the County Treasurer’s office! I questioned in the city about the bill and she said we have lots of bills one is paying for the bridge on the ilk River! I have bills too. Anyway, the taxes on Malta’s houses are about 10 times higher than my Whitewater house. That's another reason I live in our Whitewater town!

6-10. Sympathy to the family of the boy the police killed. That is so terrible and so are the riots and protests that followed. We should pray for peace on earth, everywhere.
We, Whitewater residence, and all the Montana residence are so fortunate that we do not have much police brutality or murder like in the cities. Our Whitewater and Phillips County do not have the C 19 virus either. However, we should still live by the rules.
In Whitewater and everywhere around here beware of snakes! There was a long, ugly, huge snake next to my steps. It freaked me out. My big tomcat thought the snake is a long, interesting, fun toy. The cat played with it and the snake tried to coil around my cat! It must not have been poisonous, but I didn't get too close to find out.
Jeff and Julie (Austin) Cole Of Glasgow were visiting family in the area and helping Sally Austin.
Jeannie Green went to visit her aunt Pat at the resort near Seeley Lake. She also had appointments in Great Falls.
Most farmers have their crops in; Now we could use some rain.
It's a beautiful day, except for the wind, which blows almost every day.
Good luck to Erica Lawless and son Luke who moved to Malta. Again, congratulations to Luke who took an early graduation from Whitewater High School. Also, Congrats to all the grads including our 8th grade Whitewater class.
Again, happy birthday to the many June birthdays and those having weddings or celebrating anniversaries.
Ree Simonson brought her grandchildren, Carrie and Jesse’s children, to the North 40 for burgers. They also visited the seniors who have a meal on Wednesday. The Shriners met in Whitewater on Monday evening, they sell the famous Vidalia onions for $8.00 a bag. Also, don't forget that there is a library in the North 40.
Enjoy the lovely spring weather.
Helen A.
