One Nation, Under God
Everyone is invited to the community picnic on June 17 at 5 p.m. with the meal starting at 6 o’clock. Come play a few lawn games, eat a burger and visit with your neighbors! It's at the picnic/park. If the weather gets tough, we'll move into the hall.
I stopped in to visit Debbie Dyrdahl on Wednesday afternoon. She is always interested in what's happening out here at Loring!
Cary Woodruff and I were exploring the area on Friday this week. We shot up quite a few gophers. The shorebirds and ducks on Martin Lake were amazing to watch and I found several places where the wildflower “prairie smoke” was growing! I felt very lucky to see it!
Last week the flycatcher’s nest on the rafter on the deck was destroyed and the four eggs were smashed on the deck. But this week she has rebuilt an even bigger nest on both ends of the deck, so we'll see how it turns out this time! Stay tuned for the results!
Cindy Clark and Bryten Clark visited with Dixie Stordahl on Thursday. They brought some delicious spinach and asparagus for me!
Several Loring ladies attended the Bridal Shower for Kiana Simonson at the Tin Cup on Sunday. It's always fun to gather in small groups now after the stay at home order when we couldn't see many folks! Blessings to Kiana and Matt as they start their life together!
It's raining! It's just in time to dust off the green grass and get the crops to take off growing! Can't fault a June rain!
An update on the vandalism that I reported on last week, the perpetrators apologized to the Clarks and community and offered to make it right. Thank you, young men!
Venus is seen in the morning before sunup now. Have to get up early to spot it this summer!
