PC Library new display, eyes fall story time return

Last week, Phillips County Library’s Sarah Osmundson announced that when the library’s ‘Story Time' resumes, children and parents will be greeted with a few new displays.

"If families miss a Story Time they can pick up the list of books read, craft and coloring page (which will be a new weekly option) when we start up again next fall in September," she said. "We were shut down totally during Covid-19."

She said that a wonderful cabinet, donated by the P. C. Museum, housing informational reading pamphlets for parents, which include the latest books and magazines, some free learning packets, coloring pages has been made available as well as the new “Money as you Grow” bookshelf which caters to children ages three to eight.

“They help your child build money skills when you read together,” Osmundson said. “There is a pamphlet for each book to follow along and learn.”

As for the new informational packets, coloring pages and the like, Osmundson said when “Story Time” does return to the Phillips County Library in Malta, she will be able to make up packets of the books read, craft and coloring activity that might have been missed while the library was closed because of COVID-19 concerns.

“There are more good things to come,” she added. “We miss you all. Have a great summer and stop in to say ‘hi’ sometime.”
