The Malta Boys & Girls Club will open for Summer on Monday, June 8th!
Summer Hours will be Monday-Thursday, 1:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. . With COVID-19 restrictions, children MUST be from Phillips County, 5 years old, AND registered for Kindergarten this fall to 18 years old. Membership Forms may be picked up from the front desk at the Club during the week of June 1st, Monday-Thursday, between the hours 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Forms may also be filled out online which can be found on the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line Malta Extension Facebook page: https://form.jotform.com/MaltaBGC/summermembership.
After consultation with the Phillips County Health Department, and in keeping with guidelines released by the Governor’s office for the phased re-opening of Montana, we have decided to offer limited in-person programming at the Malta Boys & Girls Club this summer. Students who are not residents of Phillips County will not be allowed to attend Summer Club this year. Members will be kept in groups of 10-15 students. We will not be taking any field trips this summer due to the COVID-19. We will continue to provide a free daily afternoon snack for Club members. Some of the COVID-19 related procedures and guidelines we will be following during the summer session include are as follows:
Check-in
• ALL Club members are to check-in at the front door between 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. A health check will be performed upon arrival (temperature is taken). Members will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the building.
• Please do not have your children arrive at the Club early as members will not be allowed to congregate on the property.
• Staff will be outside at the beginning and end of the Club to monitor the members.
• Club members may check-out at the front desk to leave at any time during the day but will not be allowed back into the facility until the next day.
• Parents and other non-staff will not be allowed in the facility when Club begins at 1:00 p.m.
• Attendance will be taken in each center and entered into MTS by the front desk staff
• If a member needs to arrive late, the front desk must be notified, and the child will enter by the front door, health checked and be escorted to their center by staff
Sick Members
• Members who show signs of illness should not be brought to the Club
• If a member is found to be unwell through a health check or self-reporting, they will be escorted to the front desk.
• Front desk staff will contact the parent/guardian of sick members for immediate pick-up.
• If a child attends the Club and is diagnosed with COVID-19 the facility will be cleaned according to CDC guidelines
• Sick members will be allowed back to the Club when the no longer show any symptoms or signs of sickness for 24 hours.
End of Day
• Club members will stay with their groups until they are picked up between 4:30-5, unless they are walking home. If a member is allowed to walk home, they must check out at the front desk and leave the premises directly.
• Parents are required to call the Club upon arrival to pick up their student.
